The studio that stays small, on purpose.

I'm Emily — a company of one, by choice. The single point of judgment between your vision and a finished space. No handoffs, no committee. One pair of hands, holding the whole picture.

WHY I BUILT IT THIS WAY

I build my work around a life I actually want to be present for, and I design the same way I try to live: deliberately, and only where I can give my whole attention.

That's why I don't take many projects. A space isn't a set of choices you outsource. It's a series of judgments that either add up or they don't. When you work with me, you're not hiring a team you'll never meet. You're getting one person who holds every decision, understands why it's being made, and answers for the result.

I've spent eight years learning where the real risk in a project lives. Not in the big visible choices, but in the quiet ones no one thinks to question until they're built. That's the work I'm here for.

I built Esō small on purpose, so I can give a few homes real attention and still live a life that keeps me good at this.

My Approach

We start with feeling, not floor plans

Before a single line is drawn, I sit with how the space should feel to live in. The look follows the life — never the other way around.

I.

One point of judgment

Every decision runs through me. Nothing gets lost in a handoff, diluted by a committee, or passed to a junior. You always know exactly whose eyes are on your project.

II.

Decisions made once, and made well

We lock the direction in clean stages, brief, concept, then design, so choices hold. No endless revisions, no drifting. Momentum you can feel.

III.

Held to the finish

For Design & Build, I stay with it to handover, coordinating the trades, protecting the intent, catching what others miss. One project at a time, fully.
